REDHNAPP: GARETH BALE, AARON RAMSEY AND ASHLEY WILLIAMS CAN HELP WALES BEAT ENGLAND IN EURO 2016

Harry Redknapp who once expected to manage England has said he firmly believes that Wales can win this summer's massive clash at Euro 2016, when the possibility presents itself as many speculators are saying.

Speaking to the South Wales Argus, Redknapp said Gareth Bale brought through at Tottenham Hotspur can make the difference. Redknapp was speaking ahead of a special Euro 2016 Preview Dinner, a black tie event in support of Velindre Cancer Centre to be held at Cwmbran’s Parkway Hotel & Spa on Friday May 20th.

The experienced coach said:

"England should beat Wales if you look at the respective squads but anything can happen and no one side is ever certain of a win these days.

"And in Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey and Ashley Williams, Wales have three players for me who would walk straight into the England team.

"The attitude of the Welsh squad has been superb. Ramsey has always been a fantastic player for Wales.

"I knew Gareth was something special, but he needed toughening up at Spurs and Chris Gunter has been fantastic - he was a great kid at Spurs."
He also believes that new Premier League Champions will offer inspiration to Coleman's men. He said:

"Who would have thought that Leicester City would have won the Premier League? Perhaps this is the year of the underdog."

Bale linked up with team mate Karim Benzema as they supplied the pass that helped Cristiano Ronaldo score the first goal eight minutes in when Real Madrid played their final round of games over the weekend against Deportivo. Real Madrid eventually took the second spot in the La Liga but have the opportunity to lift the UEFA Champions League when they play Atlectico later this month.
