THE BALE AND POGBA RUMOURS REFUSE TO GO AWAY

There are more speculations that Gareth Bale could return to the Premier League, allowing for Paul Pogba to go in the opposite direction if Manchester United and Real Madrid can reach an agreement.

Reports in Spain claim Madrid could add anywhere in the region of 50 to 100 million pounds to Bale to facilitate a move for Pogba. The Frenchman wants the deal, Bale is not going to push to remain at Madrid, it ends the chase for Christian Eriksen, and gives Zidane another player he really wants at the club.

If Zidane remains at the helm at Madrid, he would most likely push to seal a deal for the player he admires a lot. Worthy of note is that there would be another man in the Manager’s corner next season if things do not go according to plan this term.

Bale’s injury records would be a major issue for United though. While he is very talented and can still offer a lot, at 30 there is a limit to his offerings and future with the club.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is building a crop of young players at the club, with British players at the core of it. Bale recently told Madrid not to publish his injury records, as per reports. He has not featured for the club since the international break. Madrid, quite unusually, have not provided details this time. He is expected to return next month though.

Manchester United would be willing to keep the player so the onus is on Madrid to convince them. The deal to China Florentino Perez stopped could yet be another option if Zidane stays on, and the marriage with Bale does not work. The issue would be the Chinese offering to pay transfer fee to smoothen the deal.
