BALE TO REMAIN AT REAL MADRID

After spending summer dancing on the ropes of transfer routes to either China and MLS Franchise, Gareth Bale has had his agent confirming he is not taking an exit from the Bernabeu this winter or even in the summer.

Zinidine Zidane has not being a fan of the Wales international but given the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo, the French man didn’t have much of a choice in deciding who gets to play “star” under him given that stars are far and between at the Bernabeu.
The absence of Asensio and James Rodriguez has made it impossible not to include Bale among the starting lineup. As a result, the Welsh man has enjoyed a lot of minutes this season.

Zidane in turning down the chance to sign Christian Eriksen has shown that signing a player this January is not top priority for him or the club. Bale’s decision to stay put also works to his advantage.
Zidane has never been a big spending Galatico kind of manager. Having won back to back European titles for Madrid, the former France captain’s reticence and shyness from extravagance was always apparent.

Being a one-timeGalatico himself means that managing the squad before him is something that will be nothing more than second nature. Unlike Benitez and Mourinho who both struggled to balance the flow of influence between the dressing room and board room.
Bale has however proved more difficult to manage for the French man than Cristiano Ronaldo, the supposed bench mark of difficulty when it comes to managing a huge star.

Even during Zidane’s first stint at the Bernabeu, Gareth Bale was never fully trusted. The shadow cast by Ronaldo just made it look like he did just enough to get by.
It will be interesting to see what the coming summer brings.
