DORTMUND FINE WITH SANCHO’S TRAVEL TO ENGLAND

German side Borussia Dortmund have said they have no issues with their player flying to the United Kingdom, but they expect him back to training on Monday morning. The club set August 10 as the deadline for Manchester United to complete the deal for the player to give them ample time to get a replacement. However, talks have reportedly stalled over the transfer price.

While United expect their German rivals to be more considerate due to the effects of Covid-19, Dortmund have remained steadfast in their 109 million pounds valuation of the player. While the Red Devils assess their financial model for the deal, they have dismissed the rather early ‘deadline’ Dortmund have announced. They feel they can still wrap up the deal before the October 5 summer window deadline.
United fans, who are hoping the deal is completed quickly, were sent into a frenzy when reports and pictures of the player’s arrival in the UK on Saturday were published online. He actually went to a party with rappers who are United supporters, per reports. Sancho is expected to join the pre-season training squad with Dortmund in Switzerland.
The club is keen on keeping him if United are not willing to meet their demands. United are also threatening to walk from the deal and get an alternative if they cannot get BVB to budge. If United walk from the deal, BVB are willing to offer the player a new deal worth 190,000 pounds per week to tie him down at Signal Iduna Park. United are also unwilling to break the bank for personal terms with reports claiming the player finally agreed to the 250,000 pounds per week deal after initially wanting 350,000. Nothing is certain for now.
