ERLING HAALAND BEATS SANCHO, FATI, DAVIES, GREENWOOD, OTHERS TO GOLDEN BOY AWARD

Borussia Dortmund superstar and goal-machine Erling Haaland has been awarded the 2020 Golden Boy award after beating teammate Jadon Sancho, Alphonso Davies, Phil Foden, Mason Greenwood, AnsuFati, as well as other hot prospective talents across Europe to the U21 gong.
Italian newspaper Tuttosportestablished the Golden Boy award and it is always given to the best player under the age of 21 in the European Leagues, and Haaland is the one who has taken home the title for this year. The voting was an intense one, as it included several global experts who had to decide the winner.

The young Norwegian striker had an electric campaign last season for club and country, scoring goals for fun and helping his teams secure important victories. Haaland scored a total of 44 goals in all competitions last season, scoring 28 for Salzburg before securing a transfer to German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund in January.

He immediately introduced himself to the league after scoring a hat-trick on his Dortmund debut and ended the season with 16 goals across all competitions in the remainder of the season.
Barcelona starlet AnsuFati came second on the list, followed by Alphonso Davies. The runner-up last year was Haaland's Dortmund teammate Jadon Sancho, but the Englishman could only secure the fourth spot in this year's running.
In 5th position is Rennes exciting talent Eduardo Camavinga. Manchester United youngster Mason Greenwood also got a nomination after a superb campaign but missed out on the top 10
