PREMIER LEAGUE: SANCHO ON MVP LIST

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has made the list of the top ten Most Valuable Players in the Premier League as compiled by CIES Football Observatory.

Jadon Sancho has just completed his first season at Manchester United following his move from German side Borussia Dortmund. The Red Devils paid a lot of money to secure the return of Sancho to English football. He had spent three years at Dortmund after signing for the Germans from Premier League holders Manchester City.
England international Sancho is joined on the list of the top ten Most Valuable Players in the Premier League by Manchester United teammate Bruno Fernandes.

Portuguese international Fernandes has been an important player for Manchester United over the course of the last two-and-a-half years since moving to the club from Sporting Lisbon. He has 50 goals and 39 assists in 129 appearances. It's not surprising that Fernandes is one of the most valued players in the Premier League. The 27-year-old is eighth on the list with €97.8m as his value as revealed by CIES. However, he's not the most valued player at Manchester United as that accolade belongs to Jadon Sancho. The Englishman is fifth on the list of the most valued player with a value of €103.2m. Just like what’s obtainable with Bruno Fernandes, the value of Jadon Sancho is not a surprise as he's only 22. He didn't have the best of seasons at Manchester United this season, but the winger has a lot of time to improve as a footballer. For now, Sancho can't make the England squad partly due to his form at club level. He was part of the England squad that reached the Euro 2020 final last summer. Sancho missed his spot kick in the final as Italy ran out 3-2 winners during penalty shootout to win the tournament after the two teams scored one goal apiece.
